Formed in 1995, the original incarnation of Carrion forged a wall of sound with a distinct stye and originality that led to many shows along with several recorded demos, but a full proper release never came to be.

Carrion reunited in 2012 after agreeing that the old material needed to be made available to the metal masses. The forthcoming release, "The Rising...Demonic Hunger" is a modern throwback to the band's early work.
